Crazy Day

Today has been a crazy day. Runnying kids everywhere but still trying to get my work done. I wonder how many other mom's have crazy days like today. I bet most of us have these days. It is quiet a circus trying to manage 5 kids and working from home.

Freelance Writing

Freelance writing is one of the best job opportunities for women and men who want to stay home with their children. As a freelance writer I get to help my children off to school everyday and be home for them when they get home. I love working as a writer because it frees up my time to spend it with my family.

Freelance writing was a mythical thing for me. I use to wonder how people actually made money by sitting at home and writing. I thought you had to be a novelist or journalist to be able to make a living at it. But that isn't true anymore. Now a days you can find plenty of work as a freelance writer.

Morning Routines

Parenting school age children can be difficult enough, but the morning time can be down right crazy. To make life easier on you and your children try to set up a good morning routine. If you need to wake up 15 minutes earlier in order for your morning to run smoothly it is worth it, trust me!

Start your morning routine the night before. Get baths done in the relaxation of evening. Then while reading books and getting ready for bed have the kids help pick out there clothes for the next day. I know this all sounds so simple, but in the morning you can go crazy trying to find that one sock, or looking around for a pair of shoes. At night you are less frazelled and for some reason socks just magically appear for you.

When morning hits... Give yourself a couple free moments before everyone else needs to be up. Get up, take your shower and grap a quick bowl of oatmeal. These 15 minutes will set you up for the rest of your morning and your day, so relax and enjoy the quiet before the caos starts. Go from room to room waking everyone up. I know this isn't easy, so sometimes I just pick them up and place them in the living room, at least they are that much closer to the kitchen.

In my house everyone eats breakfast, whether they are hungry or not. Sometimes it is just a piece of toast, but at least it is something on there stomachs. Take turns having someone help with last minute lunch additions. And check everyone's backpacks to make sure they have everything that is needed.

By starting your morning in the evening you will save yourself alot of stress and hassle. Your mornings can be a relaxing quiet time for you and the kids to enjoy before everyone hurries off to their busy days.
